Ukrainian Emergency Relief Fund
3 March, 2022
The Board of Trustees of the CERGE-EI Foundation and the Executive and Supervisory Committee of CERGE-EI have created an emergency fund to support those CERGE-EI students, faculty, staff and alumni that have been affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Resources permitting, we will also assist other Ukrainian economic students and faculty.
We have a long history of hosting and working with Ukrainian economics students, faculty, and alumni. CERGE-EI benefits from the participation of Ukrainian students in its M.A. and Ph.D. programs, totaling more than 60 alumni. In addition, several Teaching Fellows work with Ukrainian universities, enhancing the standards of economics education.
This effort will provide one-time grants of between USD 1000 and USD 5000 to eligible individuals in need of assistance. Funds can be used to cover educational, living, or health-related expenses for them and their families.
Contribute and Help us Help Others
The Foundation welcomes contributions to the Ukraine Emergency Relief Fund to assist eligible individuals. Contributions are processed by the CERGE-EI Foundation , a US 501(c)3 non-profit organization and Nadace CERGE-EI, a Czech non-profit organization, in the EU. Confirmations of donations for tax purposes can be issued, so EU residents may prefer to donate through the Nadace CERGE-EI.
