Ph.D. Candidates Successfully Finishing Their Studies

Some of our Ph.D. Candidates are finishing their studies at CERGE-EI in March. We wish them all the best with their defenses!

On Monday, March 14th, 2022, Kamil Kovář will defend his dissertation "Essays on Interbank Interest Rates." Sergey Slobodyan (CERGE-EI) is the Chair of the Dissertation Committee, which includes Filip Matějka (CERGE-EI) and Veronika Selezneva (CERGE-EI). The Defense Committee will include Ctirad Slavík (CERGE-EI) and Jan Babecký (Czech National Bank), with Michal Kejak (CERGE-EI) as the Chair. The event will take place at CERGE-EI in room #6 at 1 p.m. 

On Friday, March 18th, 2022, Gega Todua will defend his dissertation "Essays on the Economics of Education." Jeong Byeongju (CERGE-EI) is the Chair of the Dissertation Committee, which includes Marek Kapička (CERGE-EI), Daniel Münich (CERGE-EI), Nikolas Mittag (CERGE-EI), and Patrick Gaule (University of Bristol). The Defense Committee will include Andreas Menzel (CERGE-EI) and Paola Bertoli (KEKE NF VŠE, IES FSV UK), with Michal Bauer (CERGE-EI) as the Chair. This defense will take place online at 11 a.m. (password: 6347).
