Commercial services of the Laboratory for Viral Constructs

The following biological agents of class 2 may be handled in the laboratory:

• Human cell lines eg. HEK, HeLa, Caov-3, HME, DU 145
• Insect cell lines Sf9, Sf21, High Five, S2
• Recombinant human immunodeficiency virus
• VSV-G pseudotyped retroviral and lentiviral vectors
• Baculovirus AcMNPV from the family Baculoviridae
• Modified Sendai viruses from the Paramyxoviridae group and derived SeV vectors

The laboratory space consists of a preparation room and a laboratory for working with viral constructs.

The laboratory has its own air-conditioning circuit, which is isolated from the air-conditioning distribution of the surrounding rooms, and ceiling germicidal lamps for each working room.

The laboratory itself is equipped with a laminar flow box NU-543-400S (NuAire), incubator for standard cell lines, incubator for cell lines modified with viral constructs NU-5810 (NuAire), inverted microscope CKX41SF with a UV lamp U-RFLT50, and integrated camera (Olympus), autoclave PS20A (Chirana), cell counter TC100 (BioRad) and refrigerator with a freezer.

The services depend on capacity options and their availability is subject to an internal reservation system.
