Ukrainian Emergency Relief Fund

The Board of Trustees of the CERGE-EI Foundation and the Executive and Supervisory Committee of CERGE-EI have created an emergency fund to support those CERGE-EI students, faculty, staff and alumni that have been affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Resources permitting, we will also assist other Ukrainian economic students and faculty.

Štěpán Jurajda Appointed to Serve as Vice-Chairman of the R&D&I Council

The Research, Development and Innovation Council (R&D&I Council) appointed Prof. Štěpán Jurajda to be its Vice-Chairman. Prof. Jurajda also serves as the Deputy Minister for Science, Research and Innovation of the Czech Republic.

CERGE-EI Fully Supports Charles University's Position on the Situation in Ukraine

Today, February 24, the Rector of Charles University, Milena Králíčková, issued a statement on the current situation in Ukraine. In her statement, Professor Králíčková said: "As rector, together with the management of Charles University, I strongly condemn any form of aggression, not least the hostilities being conducted by Putin's Russia right now.

IDEA Talks: State Employees and Civil Servants. Where Do They Work and How Much Are They Paid?
