Akademický multižánrový hudební festival A-Fest je po několikaleté pauze, způsobené nejen covidem, zpět! Uskuteční se v sobotu 18. června 2022 v prostorách Archeologického ústavu AV ČR Praha. Těšit se můžete mimo jiné také na kapelu Bluemeks z ÚTAM AV ČR!

Po covidem vynucené pauze se po třech letech opět konal Veletrh vědy, největší akce svého druhu v ČR. Akci tradičně organizuje Středisko společných činností Akademie věd České republiky. Na akci mívají kromě ústavů AV ČR svůj stánek také české vysoké školy a firmy spolupracující s výzkumnou sférou nebo třeba Slovenská Akademie věd či nakladatelství Academia.

Dne 27. května 2022 navštívila pracoviště ÚTAM AV ČR v Praze vzácná návštěva - profesor Jerome F. Hajjar z Northeastern University v Bostonu, USA. Profesor Hajjar je významným odborníkem z oblasti seismického inženýrství a stability stavebních konstrukcí. V Praze se účastnil konference IABSE a přijal pozvání k návštěvě od ředitele ÚTAM AV ČR, prof. Stanislava Pospíšila. Během krátké návštěvy vyslechl prof. Hajjar krátkou přednášku o činnosti našeho ústavu a se zaujetím navštívil Centrální laboratoř ÚTAM a laboratoře Oddělení biomechaniky.

On 24 May 2022, we welcomed visitors from among the academic staff of the Swedish technical university in Lulea to the ITAM CAS venues in both Prague and Telč. The university is the largest in Sweden with almost 20 thousand students. The multi-member delegation led by Prof. G. Sas came from the Institute of Civil and Environmental Engineering and deals with structural monitoring and computational methods in the field of building materials. The delegation visited and was very interested in the ITAM laboratories in Prague and Telč.

Ing. Dušan Majtás z Oddělení materiálového výzkumu na ÚTAM AV ČR získal 1. cenu v Soutěži o nejlepší poster na 31. ročníku mezinárodní konference METAL 2022 (31st Conference on Metallurgy and Materials), který se uskutečnil 18. - 19. května 2022 v Brně.

Po dvouleté přestávce se 9. až 12. května 2022 uskutečnila mezinárodní konference Engineering Mechanics 2022, hlavní událost v oboru v České republice. Letošním organizátorem konference byl Ústav teoretické a aplikované mechaniky AV ČR. Cílem konference je získat přehled současného stavu rozvoje mechaniky tuhých a deformovatelných těles, mechaniky tekutin a termodynamiky, zejména ve vztahu k projektům řešeným v České republice a na kooperujících universitách po celém světě.
