Abstract: We study the effective interaction between heavy probes attached to the non-equilibrium media, made by driven Brownian particles not interacting with each other. The driving of the particles is arranged by non-potential or time dependent external force. Our model applies overdamped diffusion dynamics of Brownian particles. While such probes would effectively interact with each other in equilibrium only locally, in the driven media the typical range of induced interaction is proven to be strongly nonlocal. This provides the basis for the study of more complicated structures and pattern formation at the mesoscopic level.
