Researchers Jiří Čtyroký and Vlastimil Matějec received from the ÚFE director Pavel Peterka the appointment decrees of the emeritus scientist status of the Czech Academy of Sciences for a lifetime of successful work and merits for the development of the workplace and the scientific field. The director of the ÚFE thanked the awardees for their significant contribution to the development of waveguide photonics and optical fibers and wished them both further success in their work at the ÚFE.
