The Expert Group for supporting European Research Council (ERC) applicants was established in January 2021 based on the Joint Declaration of the Charles University and the Czech Academy of Sciences. It is composed of a coordinator and 10 members from three scientific domains according to the ERC rules. The objective is to systematically support together with the Technology Centre of Czech Academy od Sciences (TC CAS) the ERC grant applicants at national level, therefore it is open to all research institutions in the Czech Republic. 

The joint work of the Expert Group and the TC CAS must be complemented by the institutional support. Potential host institutions are supposed to take the responsability for providing the information and offering at least basic preparation of the applicants.
