The Institute of Mathematics of the Czech Academy of Sciences is seeking experienced mathematicians to join one of its research teams. We are looking for young researchers who have achieved significant results in their area of research. This is a tenure track type position; after two years, the candidate will be evaluated and, in the positive case, offered a long-term position in accordance with the Career Development Rules of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Successful applicants will perform research in one of five departments of the Institute. They will also take part in other activities such as organization and active participation at seminars, workshops, and conferences. No teaching is involved. We require verbal and written English communication skills and abilities to work both independently and collaboratively. The selection committee will judge publications, as well as other activities and professional achievements of applicants, with respect to the stage of their career.
