for the bioinformatics team of the Czech Centre for Phenogenomics (CCP) hosted by the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
Job description
- Analyze 3D images and develop program for automatic phenotyping using AI
- Or model 3D structure proteins using alpha fold and try to find new structure modelators
- If you are experienced enough, you can lead small team and do your own research
Requirements
- Creativity and the ability to find innovative solutions
- Willingness to learn new things and to pass on the knowledge to others
- Proficiency in Linux and Shell script
- Proficiency in Python (other languages advantage)
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Good communication skills
- Capability to work with the team and also on a self-contained basis
- B.Sc. in bioinformatics, statistics, mathematics or related subject and relevant track record in the field

The position is available immediately (February 2023) as an initial fixed-term (1 year) contract, with longer-term extension possibility upon demonstrated proficiency.
The place of work is the CCP building in the BIOCEV complex (Prague, Vestec).
