Welcome to The Review of Economic Studies

The Review was founded in 1933 by a group of young British and American Economists. It is published by The Review of Economic Studies Ltd, whose objective is to encourage research in theoretical and applied economics, especially by young economists, and to publish the results in the Journal. The Review of Economic Studies is essential reading for economists. It is one of the core economics journals, consistently ranking among the top five titles.

We are very excited to announce the appointment of Bård Harstad as Joint Managing Editor with effect from 1st May 2021.

We are extremely grateful to Adam Szeidl for his service and expertise brought to the Review. Adam will step down as Joint Managing Editor at the end of March 2021.

The 2020 and 2021 Restud Tour speakers will participate in the Restud Double Tour in May 2021.

Uta Schoenberg stepped down as Joint Managing Editor at the end of January 2021. We are extremely grateful for her service and expertise brought to the Review. Jerome Adda has taken on this role with effect from 1st February 2021.

We are very pleased to welcome Abi Adams-Prassl, Pedro Bordalo, Gharad Bryan, Konrad Burchardi, Michael Callen, Matthew Elliott, Luca Fornaro, Joachim Freyberger, Daniel Garrett, Nir Jaimovich, Thomas Le Barbanchon, Victoria Vanasco, and Shengxing Zhang joining the Editorial Board with effect from 1st January 2021. We are also excited to announce the appointment of Michèle Tertilt to the Board of Directors, and Myrto Kalouptsidi, Fuhito Kojima and Anna Mikusheva as Foreign Editors.

We are extremely grateful to the Board Members stepping down at the end of 2020 for their service. They are Nicolas Coeurdacier, Peter Kondor, Dennis Kristensen, Alberto Martin, Daniel Paravisini, Olivier Tercieux, and Dimitri Vayanos.
