We are pleased to announce that the next #AlumniLive seminar will take place on May 19, 2023, at 2 PM in the Digital Media Center at CERGE-EI and online. We will welcome Juraj Valachy, a Director at the Institute for Financial Policy at the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic.

The seminar will be followed by coffee&sweets networking.

#AlumniLive is a series of networking events for CERGE-EI students & alumni. We bring inspiring alumni to hold #AlumniLive Seminar or informally network at Coffee with Alumni at CERGE-EI.

In March 2023, we hosted two Coffees with Alumni for CERGE-EI students, Boryana Madzharova from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and Martin Kuncl from the Bank of Canada.  Students had an opportunity to informally network with alumni and ask them about their studies, or career path.

Several get-together alumni events took place in alumni communities all around the world in 2022. Alumni in the UK, in Slovakia, Armenia, Georgia, Italy, and the United States had a chance to meet and have a good time together. The events were sponsored by the CERGE-EI Foundation or Nadace CERGE-EI and organized with the support of Alumni Local Group Leaders.

The first #AlumniLive seminar with Ján Plánovský, a CERGE-EI PhD in Economics graduate, and a Head of Unit at the Publications Office of the EU, European Commission, Luxembourg, took place on October 21, 2022.

Jan Plánovský is a CERGE-EI PhD in Economics graduate from 2001 with more than 15 years of work experience for the European Commission. He has worked as a Head of Unit at Eurostat, and was in charge of International Trade Statistics – Production, IT Infrastructure, and Central Data and Metadata Services. Since 2017 he works as a Head of Unit at the Publications Office of the EU, European Commission, Luxembourg.

We are pleased to invite you to the first Alumni Picnic on Saturday, September 10, 2022, 3-6 PM at Park Parukarka in Prague. Partners/spouses and kids are welcome.

Park Parukářka in Prague 3 is known for its beautiful view of Prague, three kids’ playgrounds, and a legendary pub Hospůdka Parukářka. Please bring your snacks and your own blanket. We will find a place near Hospůdka Parukářka and the first drink is on us!
