We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated research fellow with expertise in the development of energy materials and batteries who wants to push forward frontiers in energy material synthesis and new energy storage technologies.
The successful candidate (m/f/d) will focus on science and technology at the nanoscale, harnessing the unique physical properties of novel nanomaterials and electrolytes in energy storage.
What you will do:
- Synthesis of novel energy materials (2D materials, transition metal oxides, and organic materials) and electrolytes (aqueous, ionic-liquid, and solid-state)
- Research and development of new electrochemical energy storage devices (batteries and supercapacitors)
- Maintenance of laboratory instruments
- Development and implementation of new techniques/processes
- Training of other users and students
- Continuous learning
- Writing of research papers
Required qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in physics, chemistry, or engineering
- Experience with electrochemistry and nanomaterials research
- Previous experience with electrochemical characterisation of nanomaterials and batteries
- Creative thinking and proactive problem solving
- Independent thinking and decision making
- Eager to learn and share knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
