Joint laboratory for magnetic studies "JLMS"

Text

The Joint Laboratory for Magnetic Studies is a shared facility of the Institute of Physics (Department 11) and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University offering a unique opportunity to study mainly solids in combined extreme conditions - 30mK-1000 K, magnetic fields up to 19.5 T and hydrostatic pressure up to 6 GPa. A wide range of experimental methods are available: magnetization, alternating susceptibility, electrical and thermal conductivity, heat capacity, dilatometry, thermoforce, angular measurement, atomic and magnetic force microscopy in the field and more. The laboratory is open to measurement not only for researchers of both institutions but also for the wide scientific community. Currently, the laboratory is incorporated into MGML.
