The Science Fair is the largest popular science event in the Czech Republic, which is organized annually by the Czech Academy of Sciences. It deals with science in all its forms and offers its visitors the most interesting from the world of natural, technical, humanities and social fields through more than 100 exhibitions of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, universities and innovative companies. Visitors to the fair will experience science first-hand through interactive exhibits, models, mobile laboratories and hands-on workshops.
This year's event will take place from Thursday to Saturday, June 8 to 10, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the PVA EXPO exhibition center in Prague's Letňany. Free entry. The program, overview of exhibitions and other practical information can be found on the fair's website www.veletrhvedy.cz.
The Institute of Photonics and Electronics of the Czech Academy of Sciences has been an exhibitor since 2018, and of course we will not be absent at this year's Science Fair either. Scientific colleagues from two research teams will meet at our stand: Preparation and characterization of nanomaterials and Bioelectrodynamics, with whom you will be able to get to know the nanoworld up close or discover the magic of electromagnetic radiation. We will let you see our laboratories using 3D glasses for virtual reality. There is also a competition for a day in the laboratory, all you have to do is answer the competition questions correctly and have a bit of luck in the draw. Come to our stand nr. 34 in HALL 1, we will be looking forward to all those interested in science!
IPE carries out fundamental and applied research in the scientific fields of photonics, optoelectronics and electronics. In these fields, IPE generates new knowledge and develops new technologies.
