We are deeply saddened to announce that on Tuesday, 13 December 2022, our long-time colleague and former Director of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Prof. Miroš Pirner, has passed away at the age of 94. The last farewell took place on Wednesday, 21 December 2022 at 12:15 pm in the ceremonial hall of the crematorium in Prague-Motol.

6. prosice 2022 bude v Klášteře sv. Anežky České zahájen výstavní projekt V hloubce a po povrchu, přibližující metodu výpočetní tomografie při průzkumu děl starého umění. Na výstavě se kromě Národní galerie podílel také Ústav teoretické a aplikované mechaniky AV ČR a Ústav technické a experimentální fyziky ČVUT. Projekt vznikl díky grantové podpoře Ministerstva kultury ČR (NAKI II).
