Internship for high school students within the Open Science project: Construction of tunable white light sources

Text

As part of the Open Science project, high school students participate in regular internships (once a month for a full working day) in scientific work in the laboratories of the Group of luminescence and scintillation materials. They mainly deal with the photoluminescence properties of new potentially interesting materials for LED-based solid-state white light sources. At the end of the year, they will present their results at a student conference in front of other interns from various fields. The internship thus simulates real scientific activity and allows students already in high school to think about a possible career as a scientist.
