On 8.3.2023 the constituent meeting of the new Main Committee (after the autumn elections) of the Czech Society for Mechanics (CSM) took place. At this meeting, the chairman of the Czech Society for Mechanics, Ing. Jiři Náprstek, DrSc, was unanimously elected by secret ballot for the next four years. The CSM is considered to be the highest professional body in the field of mechanics in the Czech Republic. It is one of the largest scientific societies within the Council of Scientific Societies (CSS) of the CAS.
