Na ostrově Phuket v jižním Thajsku existuje rehabilitační stanice zaměřená na péči o gibony lary (Hylobates lar) zabavené nezákonným majitelům a ilegálně odchyceným v přírodě. Stanice má rozpracovaný projekt na postupnou reintrodukci těchto zvířat zpět do přírody v nedaleké rezervaci Khao Pha Theaw.

On the island of Phuket (South Thailand), a rehabilitation station has been established for White-handed Gibbons (Hylobates lar) illegally taken from the wild and confiscated from their owners. A project has been set up for the reintroduction of these small apes into the wild in the nearby Khao Pha Theaw Reserve.
