The anthology presents a selection of surrealist dramatic texts from the 1920s to the present. For the first time, the volume brings together a selection of surrealist dramatic texts from the 1920s to the present day. The whole publication shows that although writing for the theatre was never the focus of interest of the Czech surrealists, they paid constant attention to it. The comprehensive study that characterises the basic constants of Surrealist poetics and at the same time charts the historical variability of the relationship between Surrealism and drama.
