Activation of molecular nitrogen
Binuclear M2+/4+ sites, recently developed by the team, stabilized in the matrix of zeolitic microporous molecular sieves represent highly promising system for the dissociation of dioxygen and formation of highly active oxygen species. These oxygen species will be employed for the activation/oxidation of dinitrogen into oxygen containing products. Targeted preparation of highly structured M-zeolite materials using matrices with optimum topology and distribution of framework negative charge required for the stabilization of binuclear M2+ sites together with the type of TM ion will be employed to developed system for the activation /oxidation of dinitrogen.
