Come to the ÚFE Open Days

We kindly invite all science fans and enthusiasts to the ÚFE Open Days on November 9-10, 2023, which will be held as part of the Week of the Czech Academy of Sciences (November 6-12, 2023).

We open the doors of our institute to the public only once a year, so don't miss this event. We will take you on an excursion to the scientific laboratories at both of our workplaces (the main building in Prague 8-Kobylisy and the detached workplace in Prague 6-Lysolaje). You will meet our scientists who work in the laboratories in person. You will learn, for example, how precise time is formed, we will show you a microscope with which it is possible to observe moving molecules in cells, or you will learn how light is created and spreaded through an optical fiber. 

Every visitor will once again be able to participate in our traditional competition for a Day with a scientist.

Registration started

Due to the limited capacity of the laboratories, it is necessary to register for the excursion in advance. You can register online at https://dod.ufe.cz. The event is intended for the general public, age 15+ is recommended.
