Satellite Symposium to ESEAC 2008(held in Prague, June 16-19, 2008)

Scope

The Brno satellite symposium will extend the scope of the Prague ESEAC meeting within the area of electrochemistry of nucleic acids and proteins, including recent applications in biosensing. The symposium will deal with the following topics:

• general electrochemistry and electroanalysis of nucleic acids and their components
• structure and interactions of nucleic acids at electrically charged surface, electron transfer in DNA
• electrochemical sensing of nucleotide sequences, DNA hybridization, SNP detection
• recent trends in electrochemical nucleic acids labeling and immobilization
• electrochemical sensors for DNA damage
• electrochemistry of non-conjugated proteins
• catalytic hydrogen evolution by proteins at mercury-based electrodes
• protein folding/unfolding and aggregation
• electrochemistry of conjugated proteins, electron transfer in proteins
• nucleic acids-protein interactions, electrochemical aptasensors
• electrode materials, sensor constructions and experimental setups

Venue

The symposium will take place in the Orea Santon Hotel congress centre.

Poster presentations:

Posters can be a maximum size of 1.2 m x 0.76 m and will stay up during the entire day. Our online website contains the list of posters. Poster numbering will be given in Book of Abstracts. Please put your poster up upstairs in the lecture hall according to this number (pins will be provided). We will have two poster sessions at the afternoon of the day. People should be available to answer questions during the poster session.

Conference Fees

Registration Cancellation Policy
Confirmed registrants who do not participate or who cancel after May 30, 2008, will loose their entire registration fees. Cancellation before May 30, 2008 will allow 50% refund of the registration fees.

Method of payment

Bank transfer:

No other form of payment can be accepted.The only exception is on-site registration payment in Euros, cash.

Accommodation

Accommodation in single- and double rooms will be available in the Orea Santon Hotel.Special rates will be offered. To book accommodation, please fill in the corresponding part of the registration form.
