Conference Methods in Plant Sciences 2023
We would like to invite you to a conference focused on methodic advances in plant biology. It will take place in South Bohemia on 24–27 September 2023, with many invited speakers from all over Europe.
The conference will be held in a hotel in Srní, a village in the south Bohemian Šumava mountains whose substantial part is protected as a national park. The event follows and is inspired by a previous series of conferences organised under the same name in 1997–2014.
Methods in Plant Sciences 2023 is co-organized by the Czech Society of Experimental Plant Biology, Faculty of Science at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and by the Institute of Experimental Botany of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
The meeting will be fully international – with all oral and poster presentations in English and with about 30 invited speakers from various European countries.
Confirmed speakers include: Jenny Russinova (VIB Gent, Belgium); Holger Puchta (KIT, Germany); Yvon Jallais (ENS Lyon, France); Karel Říha (CEITEC, Czechia); Małgorzata Kwaśniak-Owczarek (University Wroclaw, Poland), Christine Faulkner (John Innes Centre, Norwich, UK); Martin Potocký (Institute of Experimental Botany CAS, Czechia); Daniel van Damme (VIB Gent, Belgium); Vojtěch Hudzieczek (Institute of Biophysics CAS, Czechia); Petra Junková (Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry CAS); Matyáš Fendrych (Charles University, Czechia); Hirofumi Nakagami (MPI Cologne, Germany).
Registration opened on 3 March 2023. Registration deadline is 31 May 2023 and abstract submission deadline is 14 June 2023.
The organisers offer five fellowships for young scientists (no longer than eight years after defending their Ph.D.) and two additional fellowships for young scientists from Ukraine. You can apply by 5 May 2023.
Methods in Plant Sciences 2023 will be preceded on 22–24 September by the 17th Student Days in Plant Biology CS 2023. It is possible to register to both events together at a reduced price.
