Basic information
The course is primarily aimed at master’s and PhD students specializing in preclinical imaging, regardless of their academic backgrounds. Participants will acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in various neuroimaging techniques. Focusing predominantly on the principles of intravital light microscopy and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), the course underscores the significance of animal models in physiological research. It guides students through the comprehensive process of conducting a preclinical bioimaging experiment. For example, the course includes a detailed pipeline for analyzing brain tumor structures, which encompasses conducting cranial window surgery, utilizing two-photon microscopy, and performing subsequent image analysis. Additionally, the workshop addresses the challenges of using animal models in research and offers access to experts in this field to field participants’ questions.
