We seek a Team assistant to provide administrative support for the Department of Cosmology and Gravitational Physics. We are a team of 28 researchers, working on fundamental physics problems posed by observations of our Universe.

What you will do

  • Provide administrative support to the department of Cosmology and Gravitational Physics, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Assist with employment of new hires and preparation of purchase orders, liaising with appropriate units of FZU.
  • Maintain electronic and physical records ensuring information is organized and easily accessible. Assist in preparing reports and updating internal databases.
  • Manage calendars, arrange meetings, and set up conference rooms, ensuring there are no scheduling conflicts.
  • Assist with the organising Department’s events and conferences.
  • Communicate with Department’s international guests and assist in their travel arrangements. Help with travel arrangements for Department members and trip-related record keeping. Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Co-ordinate with other FZU departments.

What we expect

  • Proven work experience as a secretary or administrative assistant
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Czech language proficiency at the C2, or native speaker level
  • English proficiency (C1 expected, B2 minimum)
