Lisá L., Lisý P. and Filippi M.: 1st and 3rd position in the category Muses in Science; 1st and 3rd position in the category Scientists and Household Chores in the Photogenic Science contest, annually organized by the Czech Academy of Sciences. A special award for the most attractive photographic performance was also granted to the Institute of Geology.
Weinerová H.: Award of the Dean of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University for the best students of doctoral study programmes for 2021.
Žigová A.: Bronze medal for an exceptional contribution to the development of science and research in the field of agriculture granted by the Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences on 4 March 2021.

Cílek V., Majer M., Faltejsek L. et al.: The book “Underground monuments of central Bohemia” (Podzemní památky středních Čech) was granted the Egon Ervín Kisch Award for non-fiction literature for 2020.

Lisý P.: First position in the category Free Production in the Photogenic Science contest, annually organized by the Czech Academy of Sciences.
Bruthans J., Filippi M. and Schweigstillová J.: Award of the President of the Czech Science Foundation for the best project of basic research in geosciences completed in 2019. The award was accepted by Jiří Bruthans of the Faculty of Science, Charles University, for the project “The effect of gravity-driven stress on sandstone erosion: physical and numerical modelling“. The co-researchers in this project were Michal Filippi of the Institute of Geology Czech Acad Sci and Jana Schweigstillová of the Institute of Rock Structure and Mechanics Czech Acad Sci.
