The goal of the book is to contribute to current debates of the research and development transformation in the Czech Republic based on qualitative research and theoretical and conceptual approaches in STS and gender studies. The book offers a sociological reflection of the transformations of everyday research practices, career paths, science policies and their effects, usage and reshaping in research institutions in social and natural sciences. The concluding chapter offers their comparison.
