Laboratory of Integrative Structural Biology
The laboratory aims to understand how the wiring of different biomolecules drives fundamental processes of the plant cell, such as cytokinesis, cell-wall material secretion or nutrient uptake. We employ a multidisciplinary strategy combining experimental and computational approaches to achieve this goal. We utilise methods of molecular biology, biochemistry and state-of-the-art microscopy. By combining the experimental techniques with the computational ones (structural bioinformatics, molecular dynamics) in an integrative fashion, we can obtain unprecedented details of a given process, leading to novel biological implications.
