MAER Program Overview

       		 The MA in Economic Research  is a 2-year western-style program designed for students interested in applied economic research and public policy. It is available as a Czech-language and an English-language study program.
The aim of this program is to prepare students for their careers in public policy institutions (central banks, ministries, and government advisory bodies), international organizations, think-tanks, and private sector companies. Graduates receive a Czech degree fully accredited by Charles University.

Tuition fee No tuition fee for the Czech-language program. The tuition fee for the English-language program is 1 000 CZK / academic year.

Program Structure

The program consists of two years, each divided into two semesters. In each semester, students take three courses that equip them with systematic knowledge of economics and empirical research techniques, and includes courses in professional-level writing and speaking in English. At the end of the second year, students formally defend their MA thesis.
