V článku jsou shrnuty výsledky více než desetileté taxonomické revize evropských druhů rodu tmavobělka (Melanoleuca). Jde o taxonomicky komplikovaný rod hub vázaný zpravidla na travnatá stanoviště. Výsledkem studie byl ověřený výskyt 35 evropských druhů ve dvou podrodech – Melanoleuca (s vyvinutými makrocystidami) a Urticocystis (s urtikoidními cystidami nebo bez cystid), celkem 11 druhů bylo nově popsáno pro vědu.

This article summarises the results of more than 10 years of taxonomic revision of European Melanoleuca species. This is a taxonomically complicated genus of fungi usually associated with grassland habitats. The results of the study verified the occurrence of 35 species in Europe including two subgenera – Melanoleuca (with macrocystidia) and Urticocystis (with urticoid cystidia or without cystidia), and a total of 11 species were newly described for science.
