Who are CERGE-EI's Alumni?

You are a CERGE-EI alumnus / alumna  if you fall into any of the following three categories:

a) you are a PhD in Economics graduate,

b) you are an MA in Economics/MA in Applied Economics graduate, or

c) you are a student who successfully completed all second-year field general examinations prior to 2001, when CERGE-EI started issuing MA degrees as part of its State University of New York Charter.

The CERGE-EI Alumni Network offers users opportunities to keep in touch with professors, researchers, and former classmates, and to find out what is happening at CERGE-EI. Our alumni are living and working in more than 30 countries around the world, assuming some of the most dynamic and influential positions on offer. Furthermore, with a growing number of our graduates, we are beginning to see the natural development of a CERGE-EI alumni network of policy advisors, academics and analysts.

There are a number of benefits offered to alumni, including:

  • continued priority library access,
  • opportunities to rent rooms in the building at preferential rates,
  • use of a flat in the building for alumni passing through Prague on short visits.

An important component of a vibrant alumni program is input from alumni themselves.
