Loňská nepříznivá epidemiologická situace způsobila, že byly ceny Živy autorům vybraných článků ročníku 2019 předány až o rok později – v pondělí 14. června 2021, v pražské vile Lanna, reprezentativních prostorách Akademie věd České republiky. Redakční rada a redakce udělily ceny Živy autorům vybraných článků ročníku a osobnosti, která významným způsobem přispěla k rozvoji časopisu Živa na poli autorském, organizačním a popularizačním. Setkání zahájila předsedkyně AV ČR prof. Eva Zažímalová, za přítomnosti řady osobností – představitelů Akademie věd, univerzit, členů redakční rady, dlouholetých spolupracovníků našeho časopisu a dalších hostů.

The unfavourable epidemiological situa­tion last year meant that the Živa awards were only presented to the laureates in the 2019 edition a year later – on Monday 14 June 2021, at the prestige CAS premises of the Prague Villa Lanna. The Editorial Board and the Editorial Office awarded the Živa prizes to the authors of the selected articles of the year and to personalities who have made a significant contribution to the development of Živa in terms of author­ship, organisation and popularisation. The meeting was opened by the President of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prof. Eva Zažímalová, in the presence of a number of luminaries and representatives of the Academy of Sciences, universities, editorial boards, long-time collaborators with our journal and other distinguished guests.
