Foreign scholarship holders at the MIA CAS
The Masaryk Institute and Archives of the CAS offers the opportunity to study in the library and archives and the necessary research facilities for foreign researchers in Bohemian Studies within the framework of scholarships provided by the CAS.
The Josef Dobrovský Fellowship, provided by the Czech Academy of Sciences, is intended for foreign researchers who need to study local historical, cultural, artistic, linguistic, geographical or natural facts in the Czech Republic for their scientific work. The duration of the study stay at the MIA CAS ranges from 15 to 45 days.
Inclusion in the Josef Dobrovský Fellowship programme (JDF Programme) may only be proposed for a researcher who does not study or work in the Czech Republic in the context of other activities involving the funded study or work stays of foreign researchers in the Czech Republic. The proposal for inclusion of the selected candidate in the JDF Programme is submitted to the Czech Academy of Sciences by the director of the MIA CAS after discussion in the Institute Board.
