The first assistant at the Studia Rudolphina Centre was Mrs Kateřina Dušková, who tragically died in a car accident in the autumn of 2003, just as she was finishing her thesis on Antonio Abondio. In her memory, a "Memorial Scholarship" has been established for students and younger scholars working on Rudolphine art. We offer free accommodation in the Institute's quarters, project consultation and an introduction to the Prague realities of the time of Rudolf II. We expect the scholarship recipient to present the project and a final report with the prospect of publishing the research in the Bulletin of the Rudolphina Studies.
The holders of this scholarship so far have been:
2004 – Bertram Kaschek (Technische Universität Dresden)
2005 – Jörg Diefenbacher (Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg)
2007 – Evelyn Reitz (Freie Universität Berlin)
2008 – Martina Šárovcová (FF UK, Prague)
2008 – Sarvenaz Ayooghi (RWTH Aachen)
2014 – Lily Filson (Syracuse University, New York)
2019 – Adriana Concin (The Courtaud Institute, London)
2020 – Corinna Gannon (Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, canceled because of Covid-19 restrictions)
2024 – Martina Baraldi (LMU München)
