Mgr. Petra Elblová

Petra graduated with a Master's degree in Chemistry and Biology from Masaryk University, Brno, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Biophysics at Charles University, Prague. Her research centers on DNA nanoparticles and their interactions with human cells, utilizing methods such as cell culture, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, qPCR, PCR, western blot, and optical spectroscopy. Advancements in DNA nanotechnology have allowed DNA nanostructures to be decorated with proteins and fluorescent markers, enhancing their potential.
Her work focuses on examining how human cells react to these DNA nanostructures, crucial for their application as drug carriers, contrast agents, or therapeutic molecules. Additionally, she collaborates on a project investigating how different environments affect cell behavior, combining the team's expertise to explore the mechanical properties' influence on cell cultures.
