PROJECT MILESTONES
Human Resources Strategy for Researcher (HRS4R) originated on the initiative of the European Commission to support institutions in the implementation of the European Charter and Code to their policies. The Charter and Code specify the roles, responsibilities, and rights of researchers and their employers. The central objective is to create an attractive, open, and sustainable labour market for researchers that ensures equal rights and obligations for researchers wherever they work in the European Union.

FZU presented the beauty of physics at the Science Fair
For the ninth time, we met science enthusiasts from schools and the general public at the Czech Academy of Sciences' Science Fair, the largest popular science event in the Czech Republic. At the FZU exhibition, people could play sunrays in the photovoltaic tent, see the spectrum of visible light with their own eyes, build molecules from Lego, read new physics-themed comics and short stories, and also see a real magnetic sputtering machine, observe the martensitic transformation of alloys under a microscope, and other important physical instruments and phenomena.
Magnetism, motherhood and the mystery of nature
This year, we mark the tenth anniversary of International Women and Girls in Science Day with the life story of our colleague Evgenia Chitrova, head of the Rare-Earth and Actinide Science Research Group in the Department of Magnetic Measurements and Materials. Her story is the perfect proof that encounters with science and an indomitable curiosity shape a lifelong commitment to scientific work.
Mykhailo Khytko has found a balance between professional ambitions and family life
Mykhailo Khytko, a solar energy scientist and father of two-year-old Mark, shows that achieving balance between demanding scientific work and parenthood is possible. This year, he was one of the recipients of the prestigious Martina Roeselová Memorial Fellowship, which helps young scientists continue cutting-edge research while parenting.
