The List of Services (and the Price List) of the Optical Lab
1. Electron Microscopy:
- making digital images of conductive and/or metal coated specimens in High Vacuum Mode,
- making digital images of non-conductive specimens in Low Vacuum Mode and/or in ESEM,
- making digital images of non-conductive specimens in Low Vacuum Mode and/or in ESEM along with their cooling.
2. Optical Microscopy:
- making digital (eventually film) images on the upright system microscope in transmitted light mode with possibility of using phase contrast or Nomarski DIC method,
- making digital (eventually film) images on the inverted microscope in transmitted light mode, with possibility of using relief contrast capturing,
- making digital (eventually film) images on the upright system microscope in reflected light mode using fluorescence method,
- making digital (eventually film) images on the stereomicroscope using transmitted or reflected light mode.
3. Digital Photography and Macro Photography:
- making images using digital semipro (“prosumer” class) compact cameras Olympus Camedia (max. 5 Mpix).
4. Scanning:
- scanning photographs (colour as well as black-and-white), printed matters, herbarium specimens, etc., up to A3 in size,
- scanning negatives (colour as well as black-and-white) and slides.
5. Digital Image Processing.
I.e.: variety of image editing in order to enhance or customize pictures made by digital equipment of our laboratory (according to points 1. to 4.), or by comparable hardware. We are not equipped for providing a full range of graphic services.

8. Digital Printing:
- black-and-white and colour inkjet printing, up to A3 in size,
- black-and-white and colour dye-sublimation printing, up to 10 x 14 mm.
