Research
Team is focused on social issues of the landscape system. Thematic focus on the interaction of socio-systems and their landscape environment influenced not only by global changes, but also by global challenges of changing spatial and functional landscape dynamics. Ecology of socio-systems is derived from “Anthropo-ecology”, team working in Institute of Landscape Ecology from 1975 and belongs to the “soft-segment” of ISBE now.
Recent specific thematic outcomes of Socio-systems team:
New forms of land-use and their potential socio-economics consequences: global changes, CO2 mitigation effect, tourism, problems of neo/ruralism in net landscape perspective.
Development of landscape perception data and models, using combination of CVM and WTP with aesthetic methods.
Contribution to methodology of systems biology and ecology in term of „soft data“ philosophical questions and concept.
