The Institute offers three types of postgraduate education:
- Postgraduate programmes leading to the
Ph.D. degree in chemistry, physical chemistry and
physics of polymers. The programmes include 2-3 courses
in chemistry, physical chemistry and/or physics of
polymers and 2-3 optional specialized courses depending
on the topic studied.
- UNESCO/IUPAC courses for people
up to 35 years, from abroad. The course lasts 10 months.
The Institute has been engaged in direct cooperation with the Institute of Chemical
Technology in Prague; Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of
Pardubice; Tomas
Bata University Zlín; Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and Faculty of
Natural Science of the Charles University in Prague; and Faculty of
Chemistry, Technical
University in Brno. Graduate students, having been trained at
the Institute in cooperation with the above mentioned
universities in polymer chemistry as well as in physical
chemistry and physics of polymers, defended their PhD theses at
universities before boards consisting of distinguished scientists
from the Institute, universities and industry.
