- plant ecological physiology, in particular ecophysiology of photosynthesis
- impacts of elevated CO2 concentration and UV-B radiation on photosynthetic processes, in particular changes in Rubisco enzyme properties,
- impact of dynamic light environment on carbon assimilation processes, mainly the photosynthetic activation/ deactivation processes in order from seconds to minutes,
- interpretation of carbon fluxes between various ecosystems and atmosphere,
