Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the Diocese of Hradec Králové


In the year 2006, on the occasion of 400-year anniversary of the birth of Juan Caramuel y Lobkowicz (1606-1682), the Institute of Philosophy of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic jointly with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hradec Králové organized a conference dedicated to the work of this outstanding figure. The conference consisted of two parts: the first scholarly part took place from Oct. 11 (arrival only) to Oct. 14 at Villa Lanna in Prague. The subsequent part, open to the general public, took place from Oct. 15 to Oct. 16 in Hradec Králové.
