The Linguistic Association's activities focus on
- organizing lectures, conferences and discussions (in Prague and outside it)
- developping contacts between specialists in the Czech Republic and abroad
- celebrating of distinguished linguists' birthdays
- educating young specialists, co-organizing regular meetings of young linguists
- co-operating with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in the domain of
Czech school books (expertizing newly proposed books)
- publishing the periodic "News in linguistics"
