The study reflects the heterogeneity of aquatic environment, both in term of habitats and microhabitats, and the biodiversity between and within species. Fishes are considered to be complex bioindicators of degradation as well as regeneration of aquatic habitats. Accordingly, a number of activities are aimed at restoring and revitalisation of aquatic ecosystems. Main research topics: |
