Postgradual studies in Working Group of Electronic Phenomena
The Working group offers postgradual studies and postdoctoral
positions in the field of electrical, optical, and
photoelectrical properties of organic solids (experimental and
theoretical research).
The studies follow new trends in the Ph.D. education covering
both chemical and physical training. Students gain skills in
molecular tayloring (to design and synthesize new organic
materials with targeted electronic properties) and in basic
methods of experimental physics. The program is closely related
to the activity of the International Committee "Molecular
Electronics and Biocomputing".
Examples of current topics for Ph.D. and postdoctoral studies:
- electrical and photoelectrical properties of polymers
- organic solar cells
- photorefractive optical memories
- photochromic materials and memories
- organic transistors
- structure and properties of linear silicon polymers
- theoretical aspects of excitons and charge carriers in
organic solids
- quantum chemistry of polymer structures and model organic
compounds
- theoretical and experimental aspects of molecular
electronics.
We are willing to discuss the topic of a project with any
student interested in Ph.D. or other studies in the Department
coming with his own suggestions and requirements corresponding
with the activities of the Department.
