Physical chemistry on graphene

In this talk I shall review recent research on graphene in our group in
Madrid. Besides introducing why this material has become so
fashionable in recent years, I’ll show results on the electronic structure of
graphene AA-type bilayer, the role of stress on electronic and chemical
properties on the single graphene layer, the epitaxial growth of graphene
on Pt(111), accurate transition state calculations for diffusion and
dissociation of hydrogen, and the electronic affinity of graphene.
