The Style-sheet for Contributors of the Acta Comeniana (contributions in English)

Please send your texts to the following e-mail address: actacom@lorien.site.cas.cz . The articles and research surveys/review articles should have summary in English (maximum 150 words). Please include three or four key words.

Footnotes

Directly following foreign titles in your footnotes (except of German, French, and Spanish titles), please insert an English translation in parentheses [].

The first citation of a work in the footnotes should carry complete bibliographic information using the following style:

Use short form for repeatedly cited works, citing the author’s last name, a short title for the work, and page numbers. Sample short-form notes:

Footnote references based on internet sources should mention the author, title, address of the website and the day of accessing it.

Quotations

Please use quotations from sources and standard editions in the original languages. If you use quotations in translation, please quote the original text in the footnotes.

Style of the original quotation: “Lucis Viae artificiô divinô ita contextae sunt, ut ibi nihil vagum sit, ad immotas leges sic redacta omnia, ut Mathematicâ certitudine demonstrari possint.”

Style of the translation: “The ways of light have been so well designed by God’s skill that there is nothing vague about them. They have been made to conform to such unchanging laws that everything about them can be proved with mathematical certainty.”

We will provide a list of the contributors, containing their names, institutional affiliations, and e-mail addresses. Please attach this information to your article.

Formatting Manuscript Files

Submissions should be 1,5 spaced, standard font (12), each beginning of the paragraph tabulated, no blank lines between the paragraphs.

Abbreviations

In case you use other abbreviations than those listed bellow explain them or quote the full title at the first appearance.

Senden Sie und bitte Ihre Beiträge auf die folgende mail-Adresse: actacom@lorien.site.cas.cz. Bei Studien fügen Sie das Resümee in Deutsch und Englisch (Umfang um 150 Wörter) und drei oder vier Schlagwörter bei.

Bibliographische Angaben

In Fußnoten übersetzen Sie bitte die fremdsprachige Titel (mit Ausnahme von deutschen, lateinischen, englischen und französischen), die Übersetzungen führen sie  in eckigen Klammern an []. Der erste Nachweis in Fußnoten muss eine vollständige bibliographische Angabe w.u. enthalten:

Beiträge geben Sie in einem Standartformat ab (das Zeilenformat 1,5, der Font 12, mit tabulierten Absätzen, keine schwarze Linien zwischen Zeilen).

Abkürzungen

Wir fügen eine Liste von Abkürzungen bei, die in der Acta Comeniana eingeführt sind. Wenn Sie in Ihrem Beitrag andere Abkürzungen verwenden, fügen Sie bitte bei der ersten Erwähnung eine Erklärung hinzu.
