Research interests

  • genomics of speciation in house mouse (study of house mouse hybrid zone),
  • evolution of genomic architecture (activity of retrotransposons and their role in shaping genomic architecture in mammalian genomes).

  • 2005-2008: undergraduate study - Charles University Prague, Faculty of Science, General biology. Thesis: The house mouse as a model organism for study of genetics of speciation.
  • 2008–2010: undergraduate study - Charles Univeristy Prague, Faculty of Science, Zoology. Thesis: Recently active L1 and B1 retrotransposons in the house mouse genome.
  • 2010-present: Ph.D. study - Charles Univeristy Prague, Faculty of Science, Zoology. Thesis: Genome-wide analysis of house mouse hybrid zone.
