Transgenic rats
expressing GFP gene coding for the green fluorescent protein from a
jellyfish. The rats were obtained by microinjections of zygotes with a
mixture of the Sleeping Beauty transposone vector and transposase mRNA.
High effectiveness of rat transgenesis with these vectors (30-40%) is
employed for in vivo functional studies in genetic analyses of complex
traits. |
