Nucleolus-associated chromatin in mother and daughter cells. The
chromatin in the closest vicinity of nucleoli in HepG2H4-Dendra2 cells
was photoconverted in S/early G2 phase. Labeled cells were observed by
time-lapse imaging. An initial snapshot was taken just after conversion
(left). The labeled cell entered mitosis 8 hours later and final
snapshots of its daughter cells were taken 6.5 hours after mitosis (right).
The labeled pattern formed in daughter cells differs widely from the
pattern labeled in the mother cell. The two channels, the bright field
and the merged image are shown. |
